Trauma Therapy & Recovery

Trauma Therapy in Bozeman, Montana & Colorado

Being human means we carry experiences that leave an imprint. Sometimes those moments are easy to name as trauma, other times, they simply feel like a heaviness we can’t quite explain. Whether the pain stems from childhood experiences, complicated relationships, emotional neglect, loss, or moments that felt overwhelming to your system, healing begins when we meet what’s been held inside with care and attention.

Trauma therapy helps you reconnect with the parts of yourself that learned to survive and allows the nervous system to find steadiness again.

You might notice:

  • Ongoing anxiety or tension in the body

  • Difficulty relaxing or sleeping

  • Feeling detached or disconnected from yourself or others

  • Stuck patterns

  • Avoidance of certain memories, people, or places

  • Trouble trusting or staying close in relationships

  • Waves of emotion that feel unpredictable or “too much”

  • A sense of numbness, fogginess, or living outside your body

  • Shame or self-blame that feels hard to quiet

These are not signs of weakness, they’re signs of how your body has worked to protect you.

In our work together, we’ll move at a pace that feels right for your system. I integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Brainspotting, each designed to help the brain and body process what has been stored so you can live with more clarity, calm, and connection.

Over time, clients often notice:

  • A steadier relationship with their emotions and body

  • The ability to stay present during difficult moments

  • Reduction or elimination of a pattern

  • Feeling less stuck

  • A sense of choice and confidence in relationships

  • Clearer boundaries and less guilt for having them

  • More calm, less urgency

  • Feeling connected to joy, creativity, and possibility again

I offer trauma therapy for adults in Bozeman, Montana, and throughout Colorado via secure online sessions. My approach is grounded, relational, and informed by the understanding that sustainable healing happens when the whole system is met with respect and curiosity.

You don’t have to carry this alone. Healing is possible, and it’s already within you.
