Know, embrace and Love Yourself
All parts are welcome
One or two sentences about what someone can expect to achieve with IFS
What is Internal Family Systems?
Humans contain multitudes, and at certain times in our lives, primarily during childhood, we’re told that some of these sides are less desirable than others. We’re shamed into altering our personalities to meet an impossible societal standard instead of embracing who we truly are in all of our wonderful complexity. If you’re ready to heal, to take a journey toward radical self-love and acceptance, to get to know and embrace all of the wonderful sides that make up who you are, Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) is the right therapy for you.
How does it work?
Internal Family Systems Therapy is an evidence-based treatment that’s quickly becoming one of the most used treatments in the United States. It’s a therapeutic approach that allows one to know, embrace, and connect with all of the different sides of themselves. During an IFS session, you’ll work with a compassionate therapist who will help you uncover the facets of your personality that have always been in you, but that have either been pushed down or have been a part of a harmful self narrative. Once all of the different parts of yourself are brought to the surface, accepted, and cared for, true healing and growth will occur from the inside out.
In IFS therapy, you are healing yourself through radical self-acceptance, self-compassion, and self-love. This yields long-lasting results that are transformative and life-altering. In IFS, there are no bad sides of the self. Each facet of a personality is a worthwhile thread in the tapestry of a human being. IFS helps you explore those moving parts so that you can connect with the core of who you are—a core that’s creative, curious, grounded, and capable, a core that can thrive.
Who is it for?
Do you often feel out of touch with yourself, restless, or struggling to find a sense of peace? Perhaps you're caught in a cycle of internal criticalness, avoiding deeper feelings or not knowing how to handle the rollercoaster of emotions you have right now. Maybe there are parts of you that you've pushed aside or are so in your face that you constantly feel dysregulated—those feelings or traits you've been taught to see as negative, shameful, or even want to get rid of. If so, IFS may be for you.
It's time to explore those pieces of yourself in a safe and supportive environment, where you can begin to understand and embrace your whole self.
